You just don't understand the difference in people who are able to administer meds and those who aren't. Your logic is like saying well someone should be able to get whatever drugs they want cuz other people get them legally.
If you really try to make points, exaggeration isn't the way to do it. Dickenson County has random drug testing, do you have any idea why it is random? Because you can't legally test everybody, everybody has the right to an education, even drug addicts as stupid as that seems. Not everybody has the right to play sports or anything like that, those are a privledge, so to get that right you are subject to random drug testing. Now one player could be tested 2-3-4 times, if there name comes up randomly. So yes, someone 'could' be doing drugs and not get tested but someone could also be tested this time and be tested the next time, so there is a risk factor that the athletes or PACE members or cheerleaders or anything like that could be caught. Does it stop the worst of the worst? No I'd say they know how to beat the system just like happens about anywhere, but what it does do is give most high school kids a chance, a built in excuse. You seem to think that most of the people on here either are so far out of school or so far out of the loop, they are clueless about things. When do most kids drink or do drugs? Do they just decide hey I wanna do it or does peer pressure cause it? Be honest, most kids do it because they want to be cool, they want to fit in. Well you give them a built in excuse now, and I know for a FACT that most kids, not all, but most that is all they need. Someone can ask them if they want to do it and they can turn it down, but do it for a 'cool reason' and not just seem square.
You say people don't know because they aren't in the schools, I think that is your problem, you can't view it because you try to speak like this sage voice of reason but still want to be in high school and seem cool to your friends that you're taking up for them. Pick your side and be one or the other. I think most people know that I'll go to bat for the players or coaches to about the end of things, but if one is stupid or does something just wrong, I can admit that. You almost can but then you try to rationalize it, thats the problem with your opinions.
